Mr. Schwartz earned his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley. He subsequently earned his J.D. Degree from the UCLA School of Law. After law school, Mr. Schwartz joined Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. He also performed pro bono legal services for Holocaust survivors through Bet Tzedek Legal Services' Holocaust Survivors Justice Network. Mr. Schwartz believed that in starting his own practice, he could be more effective in helping people deal with a variety of legal issues. In 2009, Mr. Schwartz founded the Law Office of Scott A. Schwartz. Since then, Mr. Schwartz has represented hundreds of clients in both transactional and litigation matters, with an emphasis on workers' compensation. The Law Office of Scott A. Schwartz has allowed Mr. Schwartz to fully realize his passion for helping people receive the protection they deserve. The clients at the Law Office of Scott A. Schwartz provide Mr. Schwartz with the pleasure to act upon a central tenet of his life -- the pursuit of justice.

Scott Schwartz is a third generation member of the State Bar of California. His grandfather, the Honorable Judge S.S. Schwartz, first began to practice workers’ compensation law in the State of California in the 1940s. About thirty years later, the Honorable Judge S.S. Schwartz was appointed as the Presiding Judge of the Van Nuys Superior Court. Around the same time, Scott’s father and uncle opened up a workers’ compensation practice; they are both still active players in workers’ compensation and considered to be leaders in the field. It was only a matter of time until Scott Schwartz followed in the family footsteps and took on the vigorous representation of injured workers.

Mr. Schwartz has an eclectic group of clients, ranging from injured workers who seek workers' compensation benefits to corporate clients in connection with corporate governance issues or a proposed transaction. Mr. Schwartz also serves as general counsel to: Horseplayers Racing Club, LLC and HOGPRO - Motorcycle Parts & Harley Davidson Acessories. During his free time, Mr. Schwartz enjoys riding his motorcycle, training for and competing in long distance races and spending time with his friends and family.
